Tell us whether nutrients in the Great Lakes are of particular concern to you.

  • Do you agree with the finding below regarding the progress on nutrients?

  • What are other steps could the Parties take to remedy degraded water quality in western and central Lake Erie?

  • Are there other actions the Parties should take to address nutrients in the Great Lakes? 
FINDING in IJC's TAP report (page 71):  The water quality of western and central Lake Erie is unacceptable. New mandatory protections should supplement voluntary initiatives to reduce phosphorus loadings. 

Commitments by the Governments of Canada and the United States can be found in Annex 4 of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement.
